What is Concrete Weavers?

Concrete Weavers is a new and revolutionary construction material called concrete rolls or concrete cloth. Essentially it is concrete on a roll.

The finished product is a combination of two geotextiles with a dry concrete mix in between. The product initially is flexible and can be put in any shape desired. Once water is applied to it, it starts to set and becomes hard. No need for plant or mixing equipment on site, just add water.

What applications is it currently used for?

Concrete Weavers is used to replace traditional concrete for a very wide range.

Most common applications are slope protection, ditch lining, dust suppression, repair of existing concrete and military use such as installation of temporary roads and runways.

Our biggest markets are the civil infrastructure market, agricultural sector and the military sector.

In what types and formats is Concrete Weavers available?

Concrete Weavers are available in two types; the civil concrete weavers and the military concrete weavers. The civil version comes in a thinner mat than the military version and consists out of different layers and components. Civil version is a single layer of CW dry mix and two geotextiles. The military version is two layers of civil matts on top of each other with a mixture of polyurethane resin and fiberglass in between and a layer of polyurethane resin and sand on top to make it slip resistant.

How is Concrete Weavers manufactured?

Concrete Weavers is manufactured in our production plant in Belgium using the newest machinery designed by Concrete Weavers BvBa. The layers are stitched together by a needle punch technology.

Can Concrete Weavers be used for vehicle roads?

We do not recommend Concrete Weavers as a vehicle road in most conditions. However, if the purpose of the road is for private usage or for military temporary solutions, the military version of the Concrete Weavers can be used. This has been tested with very positive results.

How should Concrete Weavers be stored prior to use?

Concrete Weavers rolls should be stored under cover in very dry conditions to prevent it from hydrating. It should always be stored within the manufacturers sealed packaging

Is it possible to install Concrete Weavers in wet conditions or under water?

Yes, it is possible to install Concrete Weavers under wet conditions and even under water. The concrete will still harden from immersion.

What are the precautions when laying Concrete Weavers in very hot conditions?

It is advisable to install Concrete Weavers at dusk and hydrate the concrete every 2 hours for the first 8 hours. This is to prevent the water from evaporating.

Does Concrete Weavers require any post-installation maintenance?

If installed correctly, Concrete Weavers requires no regular post installation maintenance.

How should Concrete Weavers be demolished?

Concrete Weavers can be demolished using standard construction demolition equipment.

What water should be used to hydrate Concrete Weavers?

Concrete Weavers can be hydrated using salt and non salt water.

Is there a maximum inclination that Concrete Weavers can be installed onto?

Concrete Weavers can even be installed onto vertical 90 degrees’ surfaces.

How can I cut Concrete Weavers?

Concrete Weavers can be cut with basic hand tools prior to hydration. It is recommended to use disposable blades or handheld powered disc cutters. After Concrete Weavers is hardened, it can be cut using jigsaws with ceramic blades or tile cutters.

What Health and Safety precautions should I take when Handling Concrete Weavers?

General PPE precautions should be taken such as face masks protective clothing and gloves.

Is Concrete Weavers available in different widths?

Concrete Weavers are supplied in standard widths of 1.0m

Are samples of Concrete Weavers available?

Yes, Concrete Weavers can provide hardened samples by request. A postage fee will be applied.

What is the price of Concrete Weavers?
